After starting a personal training studio in an upscale Salt Lake City neighborhood and successfully working as a personal trainer himself, Dustin began working for a local gift packaging manufacturer managing an established relationship with the largest retailer in the world: Wal-Mart.

Around that same time, Dustin also began the process of licensing as a real estate agent. The Blakemore team opened their arms to him in 2012, and the relationship was a perfect fit from the beginning.

In 2012, Dustin also began volunteering heavily for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest civil rights organization, working for full LGBTQ equality and now represents Utah as a member of their National Board of Governors.

He served as the chair for the organization’s largest local fundraising effort, the Annual HRC Utah Gala, for five years. The event brings together nearly 1,000 prominent members of the community, politicians, celebrities, and supporters of the community for a night of celebrating progress and encourage further support for the work yet to be finished. Dustin continues to mentor other volunteers in their roles on both the local steering and gala committees and has a lifelong commitment to continued community involvement.

He and his husband are also avid investors, and as a result, Dustin loves the excitement of helping clients find the perfect property to turn into a long-term income-producing investment, or a remodel to transform into someone else’s dream home.

In 2016, Dustin married his partner of then seven years, and they purchasing their third home together in Sugarhouse where they live with their two dogs: Chachi, the chihuahua, and Ryker, the doberman—the perfect “dog dichotomy.” Together, the couple enjoys amazing relationships with incredible friends and family, traveling when possible, creating new experiences that build a life, and looking forward to achieving the dream of becoming parents.
